This blog post is coming from the cafe of an eco-resort on the beach of the South China Sea in Damai Beach, Sarawak, Malaysia on the island of Borneo - life is good! We've been enjoying Sarawak the last four days - we stayed two days in the highlands where we hiked the jungle to the Indonesian border and enjoyed a massage at the deluxe spa. Then we toured the city of Kuching, which is the largest city in Sarawak. There, we shopped the main bazaar and picked up lots of great crafts made by the local people. For the past two days we've been staying in a treehouse on the beach here in Damai Beach, a resort area north of Kuching.
The beach is beautiful, with a backdrop of rainforest and mountains, and the water is crystal clear and very warm. We have lots and lots of pictures to post once we get back to Kuala Lumpur! Ok, we're going to head out and enjoy the beach a bit more before it's time to head back into town!
