One of the big differences between Malaysia and the US is the approach to food purchasing, preparation and serving. In Malaysia, you're much closer to the processing of the food. You often see the whole animal right before its cooked or sold to you. As a result, the wet market experience can take some getting used to (and it's best not to look down or into the drainage channels too closely!) For instance, here's Katie trying to look brave next to a huge pile of chickens, feet going in all directions!
In the afternoon on Monday we headed out on the town again. Here's a typical city scene around KL. The Petronas Towers are in the background. They were the world's tallest buildings until a year ago when the Taipei 101 building opened in Taiwan. But, the Petronas Towers look a lot cooler! The palm tree reminds us that KL is in the midst of an equatorial rainforest.
We made our way to Times Square, a HUGE shopping mall. It has 10 levels, here's a shot of one of the many atriums in the mall. The main attraction is the theme park inside the mall. We rode the rides for several hours! The rides there are not like the ones at Mall of America - these are huge rides, coasters with loops and lots of other things that will turn you upside down. There's also a large kids section that Ellie enjoyed exploring.
All that theme park fun tired us out so we headed back to Kampung Warisan to eat in the Putri Warisan Cafe, which is right there in their apartment complex. Then we hung out on the couch until bedtime.

You guys are very brave indeed to experience the wet market!! Times Square sounds like a great time. Ellie looks very comfy and cozy with her bear and the monkey is peeking in the pic too! Thanks for the great updates!!
