Bluebirds!

We finally got around to mounting our bluebird house in the backyard, after purchasing the house a year ago. It's handcrafted by a local elderly man. (Notice the pretty purple wisteria blooming in the background!)



It only took 2 days for the bluebirds to find it and begin moving in. They were flying back and forth all throughout the days, bringing in little sticks to make the nest. Every week, you are supposed to check on the house to make sure that there have been no intruders. Last week, we peeked in and found a perfectly arranged little nest.

This week, we peeked in and this is what we found...




They are the cutest little eggs! They were much bigger than I thought they would be- they are about an inch long. We'll check on them next week and hopefully we'll find some cute little bluebird babies!
