Henry has settled in nicely to our new house. I thought I'd share a few pictures of him in his new surroundings.
He spends a lot of time in his special corner of the living room. The house had a built-in bookshelf that was the perfect size for him, so we set up a play area around it for him. It usually starts out each morning neatly organized.
And it usually doesn't end up that way.
Another feature of the house Henry loves are the windows that go down almost all the way to the floor. They are just the right height for him to watch what's happening outside. Snowy day...
The house is pretty cozy for reading, too. Sometimes Henry likes to hop into a chair and do a little reading on his own. This rocking chair belonged to his great grandfather.
Sometimes it's more fun to snuggle up with mommy on the couch and look at animal pictures on her phone.
Not all of Henry's reading is for fun. Here he is taking in a little educational literature from the Mayo Clinic, "Healthy Weight for Life". We're happy he's taking these issues seriously from a young age!
Sometimes a little couch modification is in order, especially when he's watching his Baby Signing Times videos and needs to get a little more comfortable.
Ah, that's better!
When he needs a change of scenery, Henry scoots down the hallway from the living room to his bedroom. He has another play area set up there. He likes to dig through his toy chest and re-discover all of his treasure on a regular basis.
As you can see, Henry is enjoying his new home!
