Halloween 2012

Halloween was so fun this year!  The first year in our new neighborhood, and we learned that the entire block gets together.  First they have a big party with food and games, and then we all go trick or treating together!  There were like 30 kids all decked out ready to go.

This year, Henry was inspired by the Summer Olympics and went as an Olympic wrestler.  Another Katie-made crafty costume!  It's harder to do costumes in Minnesota because they have to be built for cold weather!

Henry enjoyed having a few extra muscles for the evening.

From the adults' point of view, the best part of it was the beverage cart.  One of the parents organizes an adult beverage cart to go along for the trick or treating.  This year's featured drink was the peppermint schnapps hot cocoa.  Brilliant!

It was a great way to meet neighbors (and also a great way to find out which houses give out full size candy bars!)  Our new neighborhood is very social and kid oriented, which will be great for Henry as he grows up.

Happy Halloween!
