The theme of today's post is outdoor fun, and there was plenty of it all summer long! Henry loves a good playground. This summer he learned to go down slides head first.
He still loves the classic swing, especially when daddy joins in the fun. Swing those feet!
Henry also developed a love of being dizzy this summer. Daddy may have encouraged this by accident because of this ride at the playground up at the cabin.
Henry especially likes playgrounds with sand boxes. Every day after daycare, we empty the piles of sand out of his shoes!
Mommy is always causing mischief!
We also took LOTS of picnics this summer. Henry really likes dining al fresco.
Picnic and playground double feature!
Henry's field of dreams...
One of the more unique activities of the summer was a trip to a kite festival. There wasn't much wind that day, but Henry enjoyed driving the stroller through the "kite tail" obstacles.
Another special trip was to the fall festival at the apple orchard. They had a train pulled by a tractor that took the kids around the corn field and pasture. Henry was focused for the task!
Henry could not be more excited! Meanwhile, it was a tight squeeze for dad.
There we go!
As summer turns to fall, we're looking forward to more apple picking, a couple more trips to the Arboretum, and a trip to the pumpkin patch.
We've got one last summer blog post to come, appearing soon!
