November Wrap-Up

November was a fairly quiet month after our busy October.  Fran managed to fit in a trip to visit mom in Florida.  Here's a neat shot he took during takeoff in Minneapolis.  This shows south Minneapolis and eastern Edina, with our house in the center left near the small lake and golf course, with Lake Harriett, Lake Calhoun, uptown and downtown in the upper right.  You can see Minnehaha Creek snaking through the city, too.

Florida was warm and sunny, which was nice.  Crazy acrobatic turtles were spotted!

We had the beach all to ourselves.

Here we are on Naples Pier.

Back home, Fran took Henry to a train show.  Train shows are really popular in Minneapolis, there are several each year, and lots of clubs.  Maybe Henry will join one when he's older.  He loves watching the trains go around the layouts.

We also got silly at the Mall of America riding some rides.

Henry especially likes the bus that goes high in the sky, so he can see over the whole place.

Fran also got around to finishing Henry's birthday gift, which was a handmade train table.

Mama and Henry got to work on their first layout soon afterwards.

At the end of the month, we celebrated Thanksgiving with family.  Here Eleanor is giving us a viola concert.

Later, they read books in the living room.

Hamming it up for the camera!

Overall, it was a quiet fall month in Minneapolis.  Watching for squirrels.  At least there is no snow on the ground yet!  Soon, soon...
