Winter Arrives

Winter was nice enough to hold off through November, but by December, it was time to face the music, and it arrived in a big way!  Just a few days into December, the yard was coated in a snowy blanket, and the temperature plummeted.

Note the negative...

Luckily, the cities have plenty of indoor entertainment options.  We discovered a hidden gem in the Firefighters' Museum!  Henry loved driving the old-fashioned firetruck.

Katie got into the spirit, too.

One super fun fact is that our friend Steve is the real-life firefighter whose picture was used to create the prop below!

This neat exhibit has a cab that the kids can get it and a big video monitor showing footage of a firetruck driving around the city from the cab's point of view, so Henry can "drive" the firetruck on the city streets.  See how careful he's driving?

Ben and Steph also invited us to go to the Vikings-Eagles game!  Super great seats, and what a fun experience.

It was also one of the last games in the Metrodome before it was demolished.

Of course with winter's onset comes early signs of stir-craziness.  No, Pooh does not fit in the laundry chute.

Donuts and milk make everything better.

Still not loving haircuts...

... but still loving reading time!
