Bluebird update

I guess we sort of left everyone hanging here for a while... bluebird brood #2 did indeed fledge a few days after our last update. As far as we know, there are four more healthy bluebird juveniles hanging out in the yard. We certainly still see mom and dad a lot, so they must be nearby, since they are still dependent on their parents for food for several weeks after fledging. They are being taught how to find food now.

We cleaned out the house and remounted it, but we're getting pretty late into the season now to have a third brood, so we're expecting that the house will be empty until next spring. But we certainly enjoyed the show this year!
