Portland - My Kind of Town

I've spent two weeks now in Portland over the past year and it is quickly coming to be one of my favorite cities anywhere. It has a combination of liberal attitude, small town accessibility, funky eateries, historic architecture, pervasive technology and mild weather that I find to be very attractive. Here's a typical street scene of a downtown MAX station.

Portland definitely has its own style and just walking the streets you come across all of these unique spaces and shops. Here's a shot of my hotel lobby.

Since my trips here have been for business, I've only had a limited amount of time to explore. I'd like to come back with Katie for a vacation trip sometime soon, and I would recommend it to anyone!

This afternoon I'm catching a flight down to the bay area to visit our friends Matt and Caroline. There, I'll get to visit another one of my favorite places, Berkeley and the Cheeseboard Collective. Yumm!
