The big present of the year was a total surprise: Katie got me the KitchenAid mixer that I've wanted forever! (She really coulda used it making that cake, too, but thought opening it, using it and packing it again would be tacky ;-)
I got a great haul of other gifts too! Lots of good stuff from the family. All in all it was a nice, relaxing birthday, and a good way to return home from my Portland trip. Thanks everyone!
